Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Responsible for distributing, tracking, and ensuring prioritization of all jobs assigned to the production workcenters (PWCs) under their charge.

  • Coordinate with developmental and operational team (Configuration/Project Managers) to maintain Baselines, supporting operational systems.

  • Report the status of jobs associate with PWCs to leadership and to the CFP

  • Use recommended automated ticketing tools to assign or re-assign jobs between PWCs

  • Implement job control procedures consistent with Technical Order (TO) 00-33A-1001.

  • Assist PWCs and technicians as needed

  • Provide updates to the CFP common operational picture (COP) for updating senior leadership

  • Establish and implement job control procedures and practices in support of Customer goals and current DoD regulations


  • Minimum Secret Security Clearance  

  • 2+ years’ experience with Queue/Change/Configuration Management may be substituted for an associate’s degree.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and analyze operational information concerning all change management issues.

  • The ability to develop strong relationships with customers.

  • Exception ability to problem solve and think analytically

  • Self-Motivated.

  • Great organizational, project and time management skills

  • Ability to work effectively and independently within a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail


  • Possess and demonstrate superb customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks along with extensive knowledge and experience in specialized area of expertise, especially as it relates to the Department of Defense (DoD).

  • Associates Degree in a technical or business discipline (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with JFHQ-DODIN TASKORDs, MTOs and IAVMs

  • Strong written communication skills to coordinate issues and concerns with leadership, peers, and associated teams


TekSynap is Seeking a Job Control Officer with experience distributing, reporting, and making prioritization recommendations for jobs related to production workcenters (PWCs). Job Control Officers will be located within local squadrons, provide visibility to squadron leadership, and to the Communications Focal Point (CFP). They will not only track jobs associated with incidents, work orders, and change requests, but will also track jobs associated with military orders directed by AFNET higher headquarters.


The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites.
